About the role
OyaCyber is looking for a versatile Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support assessments, implementation, monitoring and incident response across client environments. This client-facing role combines hands-on capability, strong communication and practical, risk-based recommendations. It is remote/hybrid, with occasional client travel.
Responsibilities
• Perform cybersecurity assessments and technical security reviews. • Identify vulnerabilities, configuration weaknesses and security gaps and support remediation. • Participate in authorized penetration-testing and security-validation engagements. • Assess network, endpoint, cloud, identity and application security controls. • Support SOC/MDR, investigate alerts and assist with incident response. • Review Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS and other cloud environments. • Create risk-based recommendations and executive-ready reports and support architecture and hardening.
Requirements
• Strong hands-on experience across network, endpoint, identity, cloud and vulnerability management. • Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies. • Understanding of attack techniques and defensive controls. • Familiarity with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners and monitoring technologies. • Independent investigation, professional reporting and strong client communication skills. • Professional English fluency.
Preferred qualifications
• Pentesting and Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 or AWS security experience. • SIEM/SOC/MDR experience. • Knowledge of NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS or HIPAA. • Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CEH, OSCP, AZ-500 or equivalent. • Portuguese or Spanish and consulting or MSSP experience.
